Warranty

Last updated: April 30, 2026 At Zorva (Tech Brothers), we offer the statutory warranty on all products in accordance with European regulations (Directive (EU) 2019/771 on contracts for the sale of goods), German law (Sections 433 – 479 of the German Civil Code – BGB), Austrian law (Sections 922 – 932 of the Austrian Civil Code (ABGB)), Dutch law (Book 7, Title 1 of the Dutch Civil Code), and Belgian law (Book VI, Title 1, Chapter 1 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law).

Statutory warranty (conformity)

By law, a product must conform to the contract (“conformity”). This means that the product must correspond to the description, the expectations you could reasonably have based on the offer, and must be suitable for normal use. The statutory warranty applies for at least 2 years after delivery, as per Section 932 of the ABGB. The exact duration depends on the type of product and the price – you may expect a product to last as reasonably expected.

Reversal of the burden of proof

In accordance with Section 477 of the BGB, Section 924 of the ABGB, Article 7:18a paragraph 2 of the Dutch Civil Code, Article VI.83 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law and Directive (EU) 2019/771 (Article 11 paragraph 1), if a defect manifests itself within 1 year after delivery, it is presumed that the product is non-conforming, unless Zorva proves otherwise. This protects you as a consumer in the event of defects occurring shortly after purchase. Similarly, under Section 477 of the BGB, if a defect appears within 6 months of delivery, it is assumed to have existed at the time of delivery unless proven otherwise.

What does the warranty cover?

– Manufacturing defects and material defects – Defects occurring during normal use – Products that do not meet the product description or specifications – Products that do not offer the quality and performance that you could reasonably expect

What is not covered by the warranty?

– Damage caused by improper use, incorrect installation, or failure to follow operating instructions – Normal wear and tear (e.g., battery degradation after prolonged use) – Damage caused by external factors: water (unless waterproof), falls, lightning, power surges, etc. – Unauthorized repairs or modifications by third parties – Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality

Your rights regarding a non-conforming product

In accordance with Directive (EU) 2019/771, regarding a non-conforming product, you are entitled to the following remedies, in this order:

Repair or replacement:

In the first instance, you are entitled to free repair or replacement of the product, at your choice, unless either is impossible or disproportionately expensive compared to the other option.

Price reduction:

If repair or replacement is not possible or successful, you are entitled to a proportional price reduction.

Resolution of the contract:

In the event of serious defects or when repair/replacement cannot be achieved within a reasonable timeframe and without serious inconvenience, you are entitled to a full refund. Repair or replacement will take place within a reasonable timeframe and without serious inconvenience to you. The costs of repair or replacement (including shipping, labor, and material costs) will be borne by Zorva.

Submit warranty claim

– Contact us via info@zorva.eu with your order number and a description of the problem. – If possible, attach photos or videos of the defect. – We will assess your claim and contact you within 2 working days with a proposal. – Depending on the situation, the product will be repaired, replaced, or the purchase amount will be (partially) refunded free of charge. – Shipping costs for returning defective products are covered by Zorva.

Manufacturer’s Warranty

In addition to the statutory warranty, a product may have an additional manufacturer’s warranty from the manufacturer. This warranty is separate from the statutory warranty and does not limit your statutory rights. The terms of the manufacturer’s warranty are stated with the relevant product or in the accompanying documentation.

Relationship to the right of withdrawal

Your warranty rights are separate from your right of withdrawal. The right of withdrawal (30-day cooling-off period) applies regardless of whether the product is defective. The warranty applies to defects that occur after the cooling-off period or that you discover later.
